After an artistic 'pilgrimage' to Northern Italy and finding one of Patrick Dougherty's ephemeral art installations I was very excited to get the opportunity to work with Patrick when he created his Stickwork creation 'The Ballroom' in Federation Square, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
Selected photos taken at The Studio@54 where Kerrie Bedson and Leslie Pearson created 'Canoe' for the City of Greater Geelong Ephemeral Sculptural Commisson. Canoe was carried 80km over two days as part of the Mountain to Mouth Extreme Arts Walk.
Two artworks were exhibited at this exhibition. The first titled 'Reflections on a Journey' (affectionately called 'Leaf Boat') was my thoughts and reflections on the way we treat the environment. The second piece, 'Fish among Fishes'. is a statement about the migratory journey of fish, and the care needed to maintain and protect this lifecycle. The theme of the exhibition was 'Journeys'.
